Rebuilding trust in the world, one connection at a time.

Sentient is a revolutionary new way for humanity to connect and communicate. It represents the dawn of a new era in human telecommunications, one that breaks from the foundations upon which our digital lives have been built for generations.

Sentient challengesthat entire paradigm.

For more than a century, people have relied on telephone numbers, and later email addresses and usernames, to find and reach one another. These identifiers became essential to modern civilization, connecting billions of people across continents and transforming the way humanity communicates.

Yet they also created a world in which strangers, criminals, and impersonators could reach us without our permission. This vulnerability in our modern telecommunications system led to scammers exploiting the system and successfully stealing the life savings of many and disappearing without a trace so that law enforcement would not be able to pursue them.

For the first time, people can build their communication networks around privately established, trusted connections rather than publicly shared contact identifiers. For the first time ever, no telephone numbers, no email addresses and no usernames are required to contact one another. Instead, individuals decide who enters their network, while organizations establish their identities through a dedicated verification system.

This is more than a new idea. It is a fundamental shift in power – it takes power away from those who can phish, scrape, impersonate and scam and gives autonomy back to the individual.

Our origins

Founded in New York. Built for a world that is rapidly changing.

Sentient was founded in New York, built with the spirit of questioning what already exists and the determination to pursue a better and safer world.

Inherited foundations

The world changed. Telecommunication did not.

The foundations of the telephone network were established in the nineteenth century, long before the internet, smartphones, online banking, Voice over IP or artificial intelligence could have been imagined.

Over the generations, technology changed dramatically. But the fundamental approach to reaching another person remained remarkably familiar: obtain an identifier, initiate a connection and leave the recipient to decide whether the person on the other end can be trusted.

In a world of sophisticated digital impersonation, that approach has become dangerous.

Sentient began with a different question: What if we designed a new telecommunications system for the world we live in now, rather than the world in which the telephone was invented?

Sentient was created as the answer to that question.

Our story & what we've built

What if trust came before communication?

Trust should be established before communication begins, not questioned after it has already started.

Traditional communication systems allow anyone with your phone number, email address or username to attempt to reach you. The responsibility then falls on you to determine whether that person is genuine, trustworthy or an impersonator.

Sentient reverses that approach.

Instead of allowing strangers to initiate contact and leaving individuals to assess the risks, Sentient puts control in the hands of the person receiving the communication. Personal connections are established deliberately through temporary QR codes or PINs, without the need to exchange permanent contact identifiers.

For businesses and institutions, Sentient introduces a dedicated Business Registry where organizations undergo verification before receiving verified status. Individuals can independently identify legitimate organizations and communicate through their official Sentient accounts rather than relying on caller IDs, familiar names or unsupported claims of authority.

Combined with encrypted calling, messaging and post-quantum cryptographic technologies, these innovations form a new communication ecosystem built around a simple principle:

Institutional trust

Trust between people and the institutions they depend on.

The principle is simple: Institutions should prove who they are. People should never have to guess.

Banks, credit unions, government agencies and businesses play an essential role in our daily lives. Yet the trust they have earned is routinely exploited by scammers who impersonate them through spoofed caller IDs, fraudulent messages and convincing AI-generated voices.

Sentient changes how institutional trust is established.

Through the Sentient Business Registry, organizations undergo a formal verification process before receiving verified status. This allows individuals to find legitimate institutions, confirm their verified identity and communicate with them directly through Sentient.

Instead of wondering whether an unexpected call or message really came from their bank, customers can independently initiate contact with a verified institutional account, without relying on phone numbers, caller IDs or familiar voices.

For organizations, Sentient provides a dedicated Business Terminal for communicating with customers through a trusted channel, helping protect their relationships, reputations and customers from impersonation.

Our mission & principles

Behind every connection is a person.

Every call, every message and every connection represents something important: a loved one checking in, a family staying close, a business serving its customers or someone reaching out for help.

But when communication falls into the hands of scammers and impersonators, the consequences can be devastating. People can lose their life savings, their independence and the confidence to trust others.

We believe no one should have to live in fear of answering a call or opening a message.

Technology should bring people closer together, not expose them to deception. And security should provide peace of mind without making everyday communication more difficult.

That belief is at the heart of Sentient.

Our Mission

Make trust a foundation of digital communication.

Our mission is to transform how people and institutions connect by making verified identities, trusted relationships and secure communication fundamental to the experience.

We envision a world where individuals control who can reach them, organizations establish their legitimacy before earning trust, and people communicate with confidence rather than uncertainty.

Instead of expecting people to recognize every scam, we are building a system designed to prevent impersonators from gaining access to trusted communication channels in the first place.

Company principles

The Principles That Guide Us

  1. 01

    Trust by Design

Trust should be established, not assumed.

Sentient puts verification at the heart of communication. Personal contacts are established through deliberate pairing, while businesses undergo institutional vetting before receiving verified status. A familiar name or convincing voice is no longer enough to establish trust.

  2. 02

    Privacy by Default

Your digital life should be yours to control.

Sentient eliminates the need to exchange phone numbers, email addresses or usernames to establish personal contacts. Instead, temporary QR codes and PINs allow individuals to decide who enters their network, while encrypted communications help protect their conversations.

  3. 03

    Built for What Comes Next

    Tomorrow's threats demand today's innovation.

From AI-powered impersonation to future advances in quantum computing, the threats to digital security are constantly evolving. Sentient incorporates hybrid cryptography, including the NIST-standardized post-quantum algorithm ML-KEM-768, as part of its approach to protecting communications in a changing technological world.

  4. 04

    Technology Should Serve People

The most powerful technology is technology that empowers everyone.

Security shouldn't require technical expertise. Sentient brings trusted contacts, encrypted calling and messaging, and access to verified institutions together in one application, making sophisticated protection part of everyday communication rather than another burden placed on the individual.

The founder

One founder. One vision. A different way to communicate.

Vennie

Founder & CEO

Sentient was founded by Vennie, a tech entrepreneur driven by the passion to use technology to make our world a better and safer place.

As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly capable of imitating voices, creating convincing identities and reproducing the appearance of legitimate institutions, the traditional signals people use to establish trust are becoming less reliable.

Vennie's approach to this problem was to reconsider communication from its foundations. Rather than focusing exclusively on detecting scams after a suspicious call or message has already reached someone, he envisioned a platform in which trusted connections and institutional identities could be established before communication begins.

With that idea, he led the development of Sentient from its initial concept into an integrated communication ecosystem. His work has encompassed the technical direction and architecture of the consumer application, private contact system, calling and messaging infrastructure, business communication platform, identity and account-management systems, and post-quantum cryptographic protections.

His ambition extends beyond developing another mobile application. It is to help establish a new standard for how individuals and institutions identify one another and communicate in a digital world increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence and sophisticated impersonation.

As CEO, he oversees the company's day-to-day operations, guides its long-term strategy and vision, and remains directly involved in the development of the Sentient platform, overseeing its technical architecture, engineering, and direction.

“As it becomes increasingly difficult to distinguish what is human from artificial intelligence, the stakes have never been higher. People are losing their life savings to those willing to exploit the trust we place in familiar voices and identities. No one should have to gamble with their future simply because they answered a call. That is why Sentient was created.”

— Vennie, Founder & CEO of Sentient

Technology & innovation

Engineering for the future of communication.

Innovation is not simply about anticipating the future. It is about building the foundations to meet it.

The security challenges of tomorrow are already taking shape today. Advances in quantum computing are raising fundamental questions about the long-term protection of digital communications, demanding new approaches to cryptography.

Sentient is addressing these challenges by incorporating hybrid encryption that combines established cryptographic technologies with post-quantum algorithms, including ML-KEM-768, standardized by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

Beyond encryption, our engineering approach emphasizes secure system architecture, application integrity, continuous improvement and the ability to adapt as new technologies and threats emerge.

We recognize that security is never a finished achievement. It is a responsibility that demands ongoing research, rigorous testing and a willingness to rethink established approaches.

A new beginning

A new era of communication begins with trust.

For generations, technology has transformed how we connect with one another. Now, it's time to transform how we trust one another.

Sentient represents a new beginning—one where individuals reclaim control over their communications, institutions establish their identities, and people can connect with greater confidence and peace of mind.

The future of communication is being built today. Be part of it.
